In a previous chapter of my life, I dedicated four years to studying painting and life drawing. Eventually I set that part of myself aside to focus entirely on building a successful career in graphic and motion design. Over the past three years, I’ve been immersed in exploring Generative AI—pushing its limits, experimenting with its quirks, and seeing just how far I could stretch its capabilities. In the process, I rediscovered my love for writing. The fusion of visual art and the written word sparked something in me, aligning with my creative instincts in a way I hadn’t felt in years.
I found myself reflecting on the rise of AI-generated art, the frustration from the art community, and the ongoing tension between technology and traditional artistic practices. Inspired by AI’s hallucinations—its repetitive mistakes and the way it “learns” through pattern recognition—I began translating those concepts into hand-painted digital works. Using custom brushes in Photoshop, I reinterpreted the visual motifs AI repeatedly generated, creating pieces that explore and respond to the nature of AI hallucinations, failure and disorientation.
Today, I am continuing to create work brining back part of myself and integrating my passion outside of design into my artistic practice.
